Bineng Power(Bevault) VRLA AGM batteries are widely used in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to provide backup power during electrical outages. UPS systems are essential for critical devices and applications that cannot tolerate power interruptions, such as computers, servers, medical equipment, and industrial machinery. Here's how lead-acid batteries are used in a UPS, along with an explanation of where the batteries are installed in the system:

The popular models are:12v 7ah, 9ah, 12ah, 18ah, 20ah, 26ah, 33ah, 38ah, 55ah, 75ah 100ah etc.

How Lead-Acid Batteries are Used in UPS:

Backup Power: Similar to security system control panels, the primary function of lead-acid batteries in a UPS is to act as a backup power source. When the main power supply fails, the UPS switches to battery power almost instantly, preventing any interruptions in the connected devices' operation.

Inverter Operation: The UPS includes an inverter, which converts the DC (direct current) power from the batteries into AC (alternating current) power that is compatible with the devices connected to the UPS.

Battery Charging: When the main power supply is available, the UPS charges the lead-acid batteries to ensure they are fully charged and ready for use during a power outage. The charging process is carefully controlled to maintain the batteries in optimal condition.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR): Some UPS systems incorporate AVR technology, which uses the battery power to stabilize voltage fluctuations. This feature ensures that the connected devices receive a consistent and stable power supply, protecting them from damage caused by voltage surges or drops.

Installation of Lead-Acid Batteries in UPS:

Internal Batteries: In many UPS systems, especially those designed for personal computers and small servers, the lead-acid batteries are installed internally. These batteries are usually maintenance-free sealed lead-acid batteries (VRLA batteries) that do not require regular maintenance, such as checking electrolyte levels. Users can replace these batteries when they reach the end of their lifespan.

External Battery Packs: For larger UPS systems used in data centers, industrial facilities, or other critical applications, external battery packs are used to extend the backup runtime. These packs contain additional lead-acid batteries and are connected to the UPS. External battery packs are essential when longer backup times are required.

Rack-Mountable Batteries: In data center environments, UPS systems and their associated lead-acid battery packs are often installed in standard equipment racks. These rack-mounted batteries are designed to fit within the rack infrastructure, saving floor space and allowing for easy scalability as the power requirements increase.
